Birrarung Marr Park is a popular inner city park located between Batman Avenue and the Yarra River. The park hosts events and festivals and is in close proximity to Federation Square and the major sporting events held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the various tennis arenas at Melbourne Park.
Project Design Brief
In line with the redevelopment of Melbourne’s city parklands, CitiPower recently increased the electrical infrastructure with the addition of high voltage networks. Large electrical service pits were required that enabled easy access for maintenance and allowed for future upgrades to the network.
ACO's Solution
- Rhinocast® 18-part multi-part iron cover and frame system
- ACO’s Technical Services Department provided the structural engineer with multi-part scheduling and rebate drawings to integrate the cover system into the concrete collar
